In the Future Tracks program, Connect works in partnership with schools and Aboriginal communities to develop place-based projects to improve school engagement and expand career opportunities for young people.
Future Tracks operates place-based projects in Tabulam/Bonalbo, Casino, Lismore and the Clarence Valley. Each project is developed locally and supports young people in Years 10-12 to stay engaged with education and develop post-school pathways into further education, training or employment. Projects include connecting young people back to Country and community as a way of strengthening their education.
Students receive support through one-on-one mentoring and career and transition planning to identify their needs and goals, build their capacity to pursue their chosen pathway, and stay engaged at school.
